About the role

The Development Director will serve as a key strategic partner to the Executive Director, leading contributed revenue strategy across major gifts, institutional giving, sponsorships, campaigns, special events, and donor stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive contributed revenue strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Lead the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Manage and grow the organization’s corporate partnerships and sponsorships program.
  • Plan and execute special events to raise funds and engage supporters.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of donor stewardship programs to deepen relationships with current supporters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on fundraising initiatives and strategies.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning and vision of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, fundraising, marketing, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, preferably within the disability arts and culture sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing major gift programs, including individual and foundation giving.
  • Experience in event planning and execution, including special events and campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with donor relationship management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud).

Pay

$140,000 - $150,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
