Creative Designer
The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville seeks an interesting thinker and doer for the role of Creative Designer. As part of a lean and mighty Communications team, you will work on a high number of print, digital, and physical projects each year in a historic theater located in the heart of downtown Charlottesville.

Responsibilities
- Design and produce the quarterly Playbill (print, 72 pages) and biannual newsletter (print, 16 pages).
- Manage and support event assets, including print and digital advertisements, posters, and signage.
- Administer box office and box office window displays.
- Collaborate on presentations and provide design support.
- Maintain and update the theater’s website.
- Engage with patrons, event volunteers, and Board members in various settings.
- Contribute to other duties as assigned, with opportunities to shine and receive recognition from colleagues and patrons.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign required; Lightroom, Illustrator, and Premier a bonus).
- Experience with WordPress, Canva, and email/CRM platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, MailChimp, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong imagination and creativity, with a level-headed approach to problem-solving.
- Comfort working in dynamic environments, including interacting with crowds and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle visibility and feedback, both solicited and unsolicited.

Pay
Salary range: $62,000–$67,000, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time, salaried, and exempt from overtime. Target start date is July 1, 2026, with a two-week training and onboarding period.
