This job description reflects potential openings for the Spring 2027 Co-op/Internship Session (January-April/May). This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships.
Creative Design and Research Co-op/Intern
Job Description: This role involves creating business cases for new product proposals, working with Business Analytics consultancy, supporting the Styling team with concept materials, sketches, and data modeling, and attending meetings with various internal teams.
- Support the Styling team with Color, Graphics, and material proposals
- Support the Styling team with User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) Graphics, and animations
- Attend meetings and work with various internal teams to mature projects through animations, model building, and storytelling
- Research North America Trends and Future Customer
Required What You Need to Be Successful in this Role
- General Major Coursework: Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript)
- Class status: Sophomore (by credit hour) or above
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program studying Product Design, Transportation Design, User Experience, Interaction Design or related field
- Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Ability to secure your own transportation to and from work each day
Position Locations
The Creative Design and Research Co-op/Intern positions are offered in the following locations:
- Torrance, California (30 minutes south of Downtown Los Angeles, California)

- On-site Wellness Center: Co-ops and Interns have access to join our Wellness Centers (varies by location). Our Wellness Centers are full gyms equipped with cardio machines, weights, basketball courts, pools, dieticians, personal trainers and group fitness classes.
- Paid overtime: Co-ops and Interns will receive 1.5 times their hourly rate of pay for any overtime worked.
- Consideration for full-time employment: Our Cooperative Learning Internships program is utilized as a talent pipeline for our full-time positions!
Hourly Wage Range
$26.58-$34.38 Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
