Creative Arts Teachers for After School
About the role
Togetherhood is coming to Boston, and we're looking for amazing instructors who are seeking flexible, good-paying, supplemental work, and are excited about having the freedom to use their own lesson plans and curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
- Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for your art
- Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!) prepared with the lesson plan for the day
- Help children understand why your art is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person
Requirements
- A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor
- Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
- Knowledge of creating a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
- Coeoperative, supportive, and flexible
- Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Qualifications
- Experience teaching school age children
- Relevant teaching experience (optional if lacking)
- Other relevant experience or training (optional if lacking)

Benefits
- $80 - $120 per hour for each one hour class
Pay
- $80 - $120 per hour for each one hour class
Schedule
- Teaching opportunities can last from 6 weeks to 18 weeks
What to Expect
If your resume is a fit, we’ll reach out to set up a screening call on Google Meet. Candidates advancing from screenings will have a second video interview, including sharing a sample lesson plan. The final step of the process is onboarding into our platform, ready to accept classes!
