CRE Credit Analyst

About the Role

Our Commercial Real Estate Group offers an excellent entry-level position for individuals looking to gain experience in the commercial real estate lending field. This role serves as a pathway to a career in commercial real estate lending, either as a portfolio manager or relationship manager, and may include sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial and business information to determine creditworthiness for loans.
• Prepare written evaluations of borrowers' financial condition and future outlook, identifying strengths and risks associated with relationship sponsors and guarantors.
• Obtain and follow up on all required documents.
• Monitor financial reporting requirements and analyze financial and loan information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (required).
• Related internship or work experience in finance, banking, or a Commercial Real Estate environment (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and professional demeanor.
• Confidence, assertiveness, and professionalism to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up.
• Highly motivated, focused, and goal-oriented with a commitment to excellence in customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet resources.

Additional Information

• This position requires successful completion of Huntington’s Credit College (3 consecutive weeks in Columbus, Ohio) within a timeframe designated by management.
• Periodic travel throughout Huntington’s footprint may be required.
• This is a non-exempt position (eligible for overtime pay).
• Certain roles may qualify for a flexible work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work. Specific arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
• Huntington will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Pay

The compensation range for this position varies based on factors such as location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this role are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
