About the role
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team as a Crawlspace Encapsulation Helper. The ideal candidate will assist lead technicians in installing crawlspace encapsulation systems, including vapor barriers, insulation, and sealing materials. This is a hands-on position that requires physical labor and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist in installing crawlspace encapsulation systems, including vapor barriers, insulation, and sealing materials
- Measure, lay, and secure plastic on Cat. 1 and Cat. 2 crawlspace renovations
- Remove and reinstall floor insulation
- Perform crawlspace cleanup and level ground for proper drainage
- Properly seal crawlspace vents, floor penetrations, and around ductwork to package units
- Install and set up moisture controls for dehumidifiers
- Install and set up sump pumps and drain piping for pumps
- Perform proper air sealing in crawlspace to industry and Lee Company standards
- Plan and maintain a safe workspace environment while performing crawlspace encapsulation and renovation jobs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a related field preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Customer service skills
- Intermediate knowledge of residential HVAC systems
- Knowledge of airflow, air quality, and duct materials/systems
- General knowledge of pulling electrical circuits
- Experience installing and setting up controls on dehumidifiers
- Experience installing and setting up sump pumps and drain piping
