Crawlspace Encapsulation Helper

About the role

The ideal candidate will assist our lead technicians in installing crawlspace encapsulation systems, including vapor barriers, insulation, and sealing materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of crawlspace encapsulation systems.
• Perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
• Follow instructions and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Ensure compliance with industry and Lee Company standards.
• Perform proper air sealing in crawlspace to industry and Lee Company standards.
• Measure, lay, and secure plastic on Cat. 1 and Cat. 2 crawlspace renovations.
• Remove and reinstall floor insulation.
• Perform crawlspace cleanup and level the ground for proper drainage.
• Seal crawlspace vents, floor penetrations, and seal around ductwork to package units.
• Install and set up moisture controls for dehumidifiers.
• Set up and pull electrical circuits as needed.
• Install and set up sump pumps and drain piping for pumps.
• Plan and maintain a safe workspace environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in related field preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Intermediate knowledge of residential HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of airflow, air quality, and duct materials/systems.
• General knowledge on pulling electrical circuits.
• Knowledge and experience on installing and setting up controls on dehumidifiers.
• Knowledge and skill to perform proper air sealing in crawlspace to industry and Lee Company standards.
• Knowledge and skill to remove and reinstall floor insulation.
• Knowledge and skill to perform crawlspace cleanup and leveling ground for proper drainage.
• Knowledge and skill to properly seal crawlspace vents, floor penetrations, and seal around ductwork to package units.
• Knowledge and skill to properly install and set up moisture controls for dehumidifiers.
• Knowledge and skill to plan and maintain a safe workspace environment.
