Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm)
Pay: Starting rate $20.00 per hour
About the role
We are seeking a skilled employee to perform a variety of tasks related to the crating and preparation of products for shipment. This role ensures all parts are properly fitted, secured, and ready for final shipment. The position requires the ability to perform consistent, high-quality work while maintaining safety and production standards. Assignments may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive, progressive building of crates to safely ship products in accordance with standard work and shipping requirements.
- Read, understand, and apply method sheets, assembly diagrams, and blueprints.
- Identify and report quality defects and unsafe conditions.
- Follow all applicable safety rules, procedures, and standards.
- Read and interpret drawings to determine dimensions, design, and materials for crate construction.
- Operate power tools including pneumatic table saws, band saws, nail guns, and other hand tools.
- Use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels accurately.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment; submit work orders for repairs as needed.
- Load and unload materials using conveyors, carts, forklifts, and hoists.
- Work in a team environment and assist other areas as needed, including suggesting process improvements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company procedures and regulations.
- Monitor and maintain supply inventory (lumber, nails, screws, staples, etc.).
- Perform general housekeeping of the work area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience safely operating power tools.

- Ability to plan and complete tasks using experience and judgment.
- Ability to learn and operate equipment including hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, banding tools).
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with power tools.
- Basic computer/system knowledge.
