Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on all types of equipment and systems, including raceways, lighting and controls, power transformers, distribution centers, motor control centers, breaker panels, machine tools, cafeteria equipment, grinders, motors, pumps, heaters, hoists, single-stage reversing controlled motors, data/voice communications, fiber optic/copper cabling, PLCs, VFDs, pendant and radio frequency controlled cranes, parts markers, production manufacturing processes, controllers, programmable controllers, lighting controls, thermal process equipment, networked computer systems, CNC/electronic controlled machines and associated PLCs, robotics, lasers (measurement, projection, production), part marking machines, welders, master paging systems, phone systems, master time clock systems, FCC radios, pagers, RFID devices, data & video communication systems, power conditioning and backup systems (including those supporting server rooms), and associated software/components of these assets.
• Perform software backups of all applicable assets.
• Use and update blueprints, schematics, software, and wiring diagrams to determine compliance with wiring specifications and location for electrical/electronic installations subject to applicable codes and ordinances.
• Devise and fabricate necessary testing aids and equipment.
• Use applicable machinery, production aids, tools, instruments, test equipment, predictive technologies, and shop theory.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications required.
• Assemble and verify data for records/reports, complete paperwork (electronic or manual), and order parts.
• Work with and assist other employees engaged in maintenance installation, repair, retrofit, modification, calibration, adjustment, and testing of electrical/electronic plant facilities.
• Coordinate with Management, Engineering, Contractors, Equipment Manufacturers/Vendors, and other organizations to analyze facility power and equipment design for safety, capacity, contingency, and improvement; plan, design, provide specifications, oversee installation, and sequence installation of new/rebuilt power equipment and systems.
• Train employees and perform other duties as requested.
• Work with Power Distribution employees on equipment with incoming voltages exceeding 600VAC.
• During initial checkout of new, relocated, or rebuilt assets/systems, troubleshoot and correct software, design, and engineering issues.
• Design, support, and maintain electronic systems for the maintenance organization.
• Coordinate with other organizations to provide reliability failure analysis and problem resolution.
• Research, develop, evaluate, and deliver skill training.
• Design, install, and maintain Facilities servers, storage devices, and associated systems.
• Install, maintain, terminate, troubleshoot, repair, certify, and administer/oversee backbone fiber optic/copper cables and DDC/Telecommunication rooms/locations.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial electrical/electronic maintenance experience, technical training, or a combination of both.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment, motors, controls, or automated machinery.
• Experience working with 480-volt, three-phase electrical systems.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment such as digital multimeters.
• Willing and able to work any assigned shift, including 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Must successfully complete a job-related skills assessment.

• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, or modifying PLC-controlled equipment.
