CQV STW Maintenance Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a CQV STW Maintenance Technician for a 12-month, fully onsite contract position in Holly Springs, NC. This role supports a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization by bringing critical systems online and preparing them for commissioning and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Execute startup and turnover activities to safely bring utility and process systems online following mechanical completion
• Perform system walkdowns using P&IDs, supporting energization, loop checks, and pre-commissioning activities
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues such as leaks, valve malfunctions, and equipment deficiencies
• Partner with engineers and cross-functional teams to coordinate system readiness and support calibration efforts
• Document activities, manage punch list items, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on industrial or mechanical experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform system walkdowns independently
• Experience working with energized systems, tools, and basic mechanical repairs
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices; OSHA or similar certifications are a plus
• Comfortable performing physical work and operating equipment such as scissor lifts (training provided if needed)

Pay

Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000/year (USD)
