CQA Manager

About the role

SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Manager to oversee Environmental Monitoring and CQA (Construction Quality Assurance) projects for our solid waste engineering group in Georgia and the southeastern US. This in-office role focuses on delivering exceptional project outcomes while maintaining effective communication with internal teams, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of environmental construction projects.
• Conduct regular field inspections on assigned projects to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Prepare quantity estimates and cost estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date job knowledge and industry trends through educational workshops, professional publications, and engagement in professional societies.
• Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrate an optimistic attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or vocational certificate in construction management, engineering, or equivalent education and/or 10 years of relevant work experience in the design and construction of environmental projects.
• Ability to work in the field for extended periods and travel outside local areas as needed (80% day and/or night travel required).
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Thorough knowledge of general construction industry practices and safety.
• Knowledge of soils, geosynthetics conformance testing, and geosynthetics installation.
• Understanding of permits, drawings, technical specifications, and CQA plans for accurate interpretation and implementation.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing.

Pay

USD $90,000.00 – USD $110,000.00 per year.
