Primary Responsibilities
- CPR / BLS Instruction: Conduct 12-14 CPR/BLS classes annually with up to 12 participants per class. Deliver instruction in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) standards. Collect and input students’ information for BLS certification cards. Travel to designated training sites across Michigan. Maintain a detailed class roster.
- AED Inspection & Maintenance: Perform biannual inspections and maintenance of all assigned AED units. Replace pads, batteries, or other components if damaged, expired, used, or set to expire before the next inspection cycle. Document expiration dates and all replacements on inspection reports. Provide required accessory supplies with each AED. Support inspections of newly installed AEDs at existing or newly identified facilities.
Qualifications
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor certification (required).
- Experience teaching CPR/BLS courses.
- Experience inspecting and maintaining AED equipment or similar medical devices preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet documentation deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout Michigan.
- Reliable transportation.
