About the role
Join our team as an Area Business Travel Sales Manager! As our Area Business Travel Sales Manager, you’ll drive the success of 2-10 full-service hotels by landing new accounts and boosting performance. Work closely with Directors of Sales and hotel leaders to hit revenue goals and grow market share.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Sales Superstars – Crush those sales and revenue goals! Make every solicitation call count, chase new business, and hit your targets for every hotel you're assigned.
- Relationship Rockstars – Build lasting connections with clients in the Business Travel segment. Whether you’re giving sales tours, entertaining guests, or nurturing existing accounts, you keep relationships strong and clients coming back.
- Market Trend Trackers – Stay one step ahead by keeping your eye on market segment trends. Analyze, evaluate, and adapt, so your strategies are always ahead of the curve!
- Community Connectors – Be the face of your hotels! Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations, while engaging with guests and teammates in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented way.
- Meeting Mavericks – Jump into daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, sales blitzes, and special projects with enthusiasm. Be ready to tackle any request from management and help out wherever you’re needed—because teamwork makes the dream work!
Education & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; at least 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
- A valid driver’s license for the applicable state required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, sell, and influence clients and hotel personnel.
- Professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Excellent organization and presentation skills; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Financially proficient; able to manage data and support hotel accounting operations.
