About the Role
The Richmond City Justice Center is seeking a Court Services Office Assistant to support legal document processing and administrative functions within the court system.
Responsibilities
- Answer and respond to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding legal documents that need to be served by the officer.
- Prepare legal documents for officers to serve that are within our jurisdiction.
- Input appropriate information into our database quickly and accurately.
- Collect and process fees received by mail or in-person, and prepare deposits for those payments.
- Ensure documents comply with the VA Law-Code and verify the eligibility of the information provided for service.
- Open received mail and mail legal return documents.
- Ensure items are completed to be served by the court date listed on the documents.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of three years of administrative experience.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and data entry ability.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Pay
Salary is negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience.
