About the role
Functions as a staff specialist conducting legal research and analyses; provides legal assistance to division and section chiefs; updates policy, procedures, and rules of the Court; and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
- Completion of all academic requirements for a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Excess experience of the type and quality described below, or any administrative, professional, or other responsible work which required a high level of analytical skill may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience
- Four (4) years of responsible professional experience which involved the application and analysis of research methods and techniques in legal research or court matters.
- Examples of acceptable work experience include, but are not limited to:
- Research and review of local or national legislation and recommendation of new or revision of legislation to any applicable law;
- Serving as legal advisor; or
- Providing legal research and analysis of court policies, procedures, and rules of the Court.
Substitution of Education for Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of law may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
