About the role
Announces the opening and adjournment of court; maintains order in the court; serves notices of court actions; summons defendants and witnesses before the judge, and performs a variety of court-related duties.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school.
- Three (3) years of work experience demonstrating the ability to:
- read, comprehend, and apply various instructions, procedures, rules, and regulations;
- write and type simple reports;
- meet and deal effectively with people.
- Excess experience of the type described above or work experience requiring the ability to read, comprehend, and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Successful study in a Baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university may substitute for General Experience on a year-for-year basis (completion of 15 semester credit hours for six (6) months of experience) up to a maximum of three (3) years.
- A current and valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.
- Qualification to possess a firearm or ammunition in accordance with state and federal laws (e.g., no misdemeanor or felony domestic violence conviction).
