Course & Customer Journey Manager
Employment Type: Contractor
About the Role
The Course & Customer Journey Manager is the product owner for Detox Nation’s entire educational ecosystem (every course, masterclass, membership, coaching program, retreat, and resource we offer) and for the customer journeys that move people through them. This is not a passive coordination role. You own outcomes, not tasks. You will turn expertise and raw materials into polished, structured products, and you’ll design the journeys that guide customers from free content to paid courses, supplements, and higher-tier offers. You are accountable both for the quality of the learning experience and for the consumption and conversion that experience drives.
You will also build the systems that let Detox Nation scale without bottlenecks. Most importantly, a content engine that ships product content on schedule and reduces the founder’s dependency on personally recording lessons.
What You’ll Own
- High-quality, structured content across every Detox Nation product
- Customer journeys that are clear, supportive, and engineered to convert
- A content engine and release schedule that ships on time, every time
- Journey emails and automations that drive consumption, supplement orders, and upsells
- Weekly blog production and the writers behind it
- The shop customer journey and the shop affiliate journey
- Brand integrity, compliance, and content accuracy across everything that ships
Responsibilities
- Product & Curriculum Ownership
- Own the build-out and ongoing maintenance of content for every Detox Nation product, including but not limited to:
- Courses and masterclasses
- Healing Labs
- The Detox Nation Membership
- Coaching products
- Retreats (e.g., Selah)
- Toxin University
- Educational libraries, PDFs, and resource hubs
- For each product, you will:
- Structure content into clear modules, lessons, and logical learning progressions
- Define outcomes, learning objectives, and actionable takeaways
- Work with program leads, practitioners, and educators to turn their expertise into structured, usable lessons
- Develop customer journeys that will increase consumption and happiness of the customer
- Own the build-out and ongoing maintenance of content for every Detox Nation product, including but not limited to:
- Curriculum Optimization & Founder Leverage
- A core strategic objective: reduce the CEO’s burden of personally recording all course content.
- Redesign curricula so lessons can be delivered through a mix of formats (practitioner-led, written, repurposed footage, slides, and structured self-paced modules)
- Build modular, reusable content blocks the founder can approve rather than create from scratch
- Identify where existing assets (past recordings, blogs, masterclasses, testimonials) can be repackaged into new product content
- Script and structure lessons so other presenters or practitioners can carry them while preserving brand voice and authority
- A core strategic objective: reduce the CEO’s burden of personally recording all course content.
- Customer Journey Design & Conversion
- Design and continuously optimize customer learning journeys across free content, paid courses, memberships, and coaching… And own the conversion outcomes of those journeys.
- Map entry points, progression logic, and completion/exit points for each journey
- Sequence education to be safe, nervous-system–first, and free of overwhelm
- Engineer journeys to increase conversion to supplements and to higher-tier offers (e.g., FE offer → Membership → course → Healing Labs → Coaching → Retreat)
- Identify drop-off points and friction, then test and iterate to improve consumption and conversion
- Treat the journey as a product: measured, versioned, and improved over time
- Design and continuously optimize customer learning journeys across free content, paid courses, memberships, and coaching… And own the conversion outcomes of those journeys.
- Journey Emails & Automations
- Write and deploy the educational, guidance-based, and conversion messaging that powers each journey, including:
- “Stuck on a step” / consumption nudges to keep customers progressing through course content
- Supplement order reminders tied to where customers are in their protocol or course
- Next-step messaging and upsell modules that introduce the relevant higher-tier offer at the right moment
- Onboarding sequences, lesson reminders, and completion/next-step guidance
- Build and manage the automations behind them: trigger logic, tagging, segmentation, timing, and sequencing.
- Write and deploy the educational, guidance-based, and conversion messaging that powers each journey, including:
- Shop & Affiliate Journeys
- Own and optimize the e-commerce shop customer journey (from product discovery through purchase, reorder, and education)
- Own and optimize the shop affiliate journey, ensuring affiliate-driven traffic is met with the right education, offers, and follow-up
- Blog & Educational Content Oversight
- Ensure the blog publishes consistently on a weekly cadence
- Oversee the Blog Writer: assign topics, review outlines and drafts, hold the publishing schedule
- Ensure blog content supports our education pillars, aligns with SEO priorities, and feeds into the relevant customer journeys
- Content Engine & Release Scheduling
- Build and run a content engine: a repeatable system for sourcing, producing, reviewing, and releasing product content
- Direct the Content Researcher(s) who fill out course and product content
- Own the content release schedule: ensure every course and product is built out and released on time
- Maintain version control, organization, and a single source of truth for all content

- Coordinate with Medical/Clinical Review where claims or protocols require it
- Protect brand voice across every product, email, blog, and resource
- AI-Powered Productivity
- Use AI to accelerate research, drafting, structuring, repurposing, and content production
- Treat all AI output as a first draft, never a finished product
- Edit heavily to remove AI tells (generic phrasing, hedging, filler, formulaic structure) and enforce Detox Nation’s established voice
- Fact-check every claim. Never let AI introduce inaccurate or non-compliant health information
- Build prompts, templates, and lightweight AI workflows the rest of the team can use safely
- Reporting & Communication
- Track and report on content production progress, journey build status, and performance
- Surface blockers early and bring recommendations, not just problems
- Communicate clear status updates to leadership and cross-functional partners
