About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Ensures compliance with FedEx service standards during deliveries and pickups.
• Provides customer service functions as needed.
• Coverage of assigned routes within the station's service area.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Demonstrated area knowledge.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for job requirements.

Qualifications

• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must have neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Must have a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned.
• Must have a good driving record as outlined in policy.

Pay

$23.52 per hour plus $2.00 per hour pay premium for all hours worked.

Schedule

Monday - Friday - Variable Shifts - Some Saturdays may be required.
