About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area, and performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
• Provide coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area
• Perform related customer service functions

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
• Area knowledge demonstration required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Maintain qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
