About the role
The Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-1 position requires immediate coverage due to employees leaving the company and taking leave of absence. This role involves operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, checking shipments for compliance with FedEx service standards, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards
- Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
- Provide related customer service functions
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
- Minimum Experience: Six (6) months courier experience preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs, good human relations and verbal communication skills, thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred, demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods, must be at least 21 years of age, ability to read and speak English sufficiently, neat appearance, meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations, pass medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations, non-covered safety-sensitive position, ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Qualifications
- Preferred Location: Middleburg Heights, OH
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Saturday, one day off to be determined, variable hours
Benefits
Includes comprehensive benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Pay transparency is provided, with a range of $23.42 to $35.54 per hour.
