Responsibilities
- Driver/operator of company vehicles.
- Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
- Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.
- Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum Experience: None.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
- Good human relations and communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
- Job Conditions: Non-covered safety-sensitive position; neat appearance required due to customer contact; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely; must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
