About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join our team at 396 S Pasadena Ave, CA 91105. In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients. A company vehicle will be provided for your route.

Responsibilities

• Coverage for various routes within the City of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and the Bay areas
• Load all necessary supplies needed for daily pickups
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily pickups to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
• Work directly with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• At least 21 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Punctual with strong time management skills

Qualifications

• No experience or education required (minimum qualifications)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• 6 months or more experience as a driver or medical courier (preferred)
• 6 months or more customer service experience (preferred)

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.12 per hour, plus 2nd shift differentials. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

For an additional $125 per month, you will have the option to take the company vehicle home and use it for personal use.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Additional hours may be required.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
