About the role
The Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of water, soil, and air samples to and from the laboratory. Maintain the quality, hold time, and turnaround time objectives of the lab. Prepare and deliver bottle orders to clients following the lab's SOP. Receive and stock all sample control supplies, prepare and ship sample kits, and perform sampling events as needed. Dispose of samples and hazardous waste according to guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Pick-up and delivery of water, soil, and air samples to and from the laboratory
- Maintain quality, hold time, and turnaround time objectives of the lab
- Prepare and deliver bottle orders to clients following lab SOPs
- Receive and stock sample control supplies
- Prepare and ship sample kits
- Perform sampling events as needed
- Dispose of samples and hazardous waste according to guidelines
- Carry out other duties assigned by the department manager
- Operate a motor vehicle for deliveries
- Use shipping software for data entry and record-keeping
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (coolers with soil/water samples on ice)
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Computer skills, including data entry and shipping software

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with overtime as needed.
Pay
$17–18/hour.
