About the role

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Provide customer service related to deliveries and pick-ups
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries
• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Compliance with policy 4-48 for operating company vehicles
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Qualifications

• FMCSA-covered safety-sensitive position
• Medical exam required
• Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing, including marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids
