Courier/DOT

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact required)
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with officials, and respond to inquiries

Preferred Qualifications

• Availability Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $24.31 (non-negotiable). The pay range reasonably expected for this role is $24.31–$34.39 per hour, depending on job-related factors such as experience, tenure, market level, performance, schedule, and work assignment.
