Full-time position, Tuesday–Saturday, approximately 07:20–15:00.

About the role

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver and pick up packages in a courteous manner.
• Verify shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide customer service related to deliveries and pick-ups.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance (customer contact required).
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a non-covered safety-sensitive position.
