Courier/DOT

About the role

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Part-time PM Courier Driver DOT, Monday through Saturday with one day off during the week, 15:30–21:30.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance (customer contact required).
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Medical exam required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations (non-covered safety-sensitive position).
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a courier or DOT-regulated driver.

Pay

$24.21 – $35.96 per hour.
