Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages.
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and perform related customer service functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
- Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Medical exam required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations (non‑covered safety‑sensitive position).
- Must meet qualifications outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lb.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lb with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills.
- Neat appearance for customer contact.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions per FMCSA guidance.
