About the role
Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations. Champion safety, compliance, and quality control while interacting with a variety of clients and committing to customer-focused service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper specimen handling and transport.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Navigate routine road hazards and maintain an excellent driving record.
- Work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision.
- Perform light to medium lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record for the past three years.
- Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Physical capability for light to medium lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Qualifications (Bonus Points)
- 2+ years of experience operating conventional vehicles (cars, trucks, and/or vans) for business purposes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
