Responsibilities
- Transport specimens from physician offices, collection centers, and nursing homes to our facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance as an OSHA Category I employee.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and complete continuous education in Bloodborne Pathogens, HIPAA, and Leaks and Spills.
- Follow established laboratory policies for specimen handling, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to a specific route schedule.
- Ensure specimens are accurately labeled and maintained at the correct temperature.
- Communicate promptly regarding any customer concerns.
- Manage both incoming shipments and outgoing orders.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse and maintaining cleanliness.
- Print shipping labels and perform daily vehicle checklists to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean 10-year driving record.
- Current driver’s license and active insurance policy.
- Strong visual and auditory acuity for accurate specimen handling and effective communication.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks involving kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse organization tools.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent customer service etiquette.
Background and drug screening are mandatory.
Pay
Competitive pay ranging from $16 to $18 per hour.
