About the role
Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations. Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle in all weather conditions. Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service. Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years
- Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision
- Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating conventional vehicles (cars, trucks, and/or vans) for business purposes
- Knowledge of medical terminology

Schedule
Full-time during first shift. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
This role will have incidental exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and expected to abide by all applicable privacy, confidentiality, and security standards.
