About the role

The Courier transports mail, supplies, bank deposits, pharmaceuticals and lab specimens to Carle and non-Carle facilities. Also performs mail sorting function.

Responsibilities

• Transports supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, bank deposits, and lab specimens to Carle and non-Carle facilities delivering them electronically with the use of a handheld scanning device.
• Ensures that assigned vehicle, pool vehicles and other equipment are clean and in good repair.
• Resolves customer related issues and assists with locating lost or missing items.
• Performs STAT runs as needed.
• Conducts assigned delivery route efficiently while always maintaining safe driving behavior.
• Ensures supplies/specimens are transported intact.
• Transports hazardous materials safely and in compliance with policy.
• Picks up USPS mail as assigned.
• Assists in shipping, receiving and stocking supplies.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State
• Work Experience: Customer service

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $15.13 per hour - $24.51 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
