About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare bottle orders for shipment directly to clients for sampling and provide ALS clients with all necessary sample pick-ups and drop-offs. This position follows a first shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS clients with all necessary sampling activities, sample pick-ups, and drop-offs.
• Store all samples in a cooler with ice and deliver to ALS Sample Receiving.
• Provide an accurate and completed chain of custody record for any sample in your possession.
• Convey any ALS client requests or concerns to the Field Services Supervisor or appropriate Customer Service Representative.
• Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and/or replacements, and exterior and interior cleaning of the company vehicle.
• Ensure compliance with the field service sampling plan, assigned SOPs, QA manual, and ALS Client Service Manual.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with both ALS staff and clients.
• Perform bottle prep as part of daily responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Knowledge of the region and ability to read maps.
• Ability to take ownership of goals and objectives; accountability for decisions and a willingness to give 100%.
• English verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, staff, and management.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, pay attention to detail, and solve problems; strong time management capabilities.
• Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work independently.
• Possible travel to additional labs in other areas.
• High School education.
• Interest in Science (helpful but not required).
• 1+ years of experience working as a Courier, driver, messenger, or in a related position.

Physical Demands

• Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers, team members, management, and clients.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis (may request and use a dolly for heavy loads).
• Able to sit, drive, and walk for 100% of an 8-hour day.
• Must be able to drive and get in and out of the vehicle.
• Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate a vehicle, computer, and other equipment.
• Average vision to read reports and operate a vehicle and office equipment.
