County Caseworker 1 (Local Government) - Monroe County C&Y (Multiple Vacancies)

About the role

The County Caseworker 1 role with Monroe County Children & Youth Services supports families through challenging times by guiding them towards greater stability.

Responsibilities

• Case Assessment: Identify family needs and assess safety concerns for children.
• Service Coordination: Connect families with necessary agencies and monitor their progress.
• Home Visits: Visit families to observe living conditions and provide support.
• Documentation: Accurately record case details and prepare required reports.
• Collaboration: Work with courts, schools, and service teams to support family goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework in related fields.
• Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is waived. Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements

• You must pass a background investigation, including criminal history checks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment with work hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. No telework option available.
