Join Blair County Children, Youth, & Families as a Casework Supervisor and lead a team dedicated to serving children and families. This role offers the chance to support caseworkers, enhance service delivery, and implement strong practices while tackling new challenges and growth opportunities daily.
Responsibilities
- Assign cases to staff and oversee daily case management activities.
- Mentor and guide caseworkers in techniques for supporting abused and neglected children.
- Review case records and documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide field assistance during home visits and offer direction as needed.
- Contribute to policy development to align with laws and regulations.
- Identify training needs and coordinate required learning for caseworkers.
Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work.
- A bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or any equivalent combination of experience and education including 12 college credits in the listed fields.
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Conditional offer of employment requires submission of criminal history reports and passing a background investigation.
- Conditional offer of employment requires a drug screening.
Schedule
- Full-time position with work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 60-minute lunch break.
- Required to rotate emergency duty coverage for after-hours calls.
- No telework option available for this position.
