Countroom Cashier Lead (BELL GARDENS, CA. 90201)

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking a Countroom Cashier Lead in our Cage Department.

About the role

As a Lead Countroom Cashier, you coordinate the operation of the Countroom and work closely with the Security department regarding the drop box pull by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinate team members.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accuracy and security of the Drop Box count.
• Tabulates and posts totals in the computer system, reconciles contents of each box as assigned to each game, and presents a daily report for each count.
• Trains new count room cashiers.
• Ensures that the security of the Countroom is maintained at all times.
• Conducts Cage chip runs to several cages.
• Collects racks for the count at the beginning of the shift as needed.
• Performs shredding when assigned by supervisors.
• Monitors equipment needs of the Countroom and recommends repair or replacement as necessary.
• Ensures that work area is maintained in a safe work environment.
• Must be available to work any given shift in a 24/7 industry.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to deal effectively and interact well with co-workers.
• Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Available for full-time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; ready for all tasks.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members.
• Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work within a team environment.
• High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year cash handling experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Banking or casino experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to use a 10-key adding machine.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Must be able to work in a loud and noisy environment (chip/box count).
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.

Pay

USD $19.00–$19.50 per hour.
