Counter Unmanned System Operational Planner
About the role
As a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Counter Unmanned System Operational Planner, you will collaborate with thought leaders in the Force Protection community to integrate urgent and emergent capabilities into Army formations. This includes Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber solutions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure urgent and emergent equities are represented in command level briefings, documents, and guidance.
- Perform internal and external coordination on SOF issues.
- Analyze and understand capability gaps from UAS threats and prepare recommendations to the client regarding materiel and non-materiel solutions to close gaps.
- Develop documents addressing C-UAS capabilities and emergent sUAS threats.
- Coordinate with operational commands, force providers, and partner nations regarding C-sUAS, EW, and Cyber training, equipment, and resourcing.
- Prepare reports, information papers, briefings, and other products for command leadership on sUAS threats, C-UAS, EW, and Cyber capabilities, including materiel and non-materiel solutions.
- Navigate Army Staff functions and unit training plans while coordinating with internal and external training stakeholders to enhance Force Protection and readiness of Soldiers and units.
- Support the command in protecting United States Servicemembers, their families, and partners and allies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working with the U.S. military as a senior NCO or Officer.
- 6+ years of experience working on Cyber, Electronic Warfare, or C-sUAS related programs or activities.
- Experience serving on a division or higher-level staff.
- Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with Air Defense, Electronic Warfare, or C-sUAS or 10+ years of experience with Air Defense, Electronic Warfare, or C-sUAS in lieu of a degree.
- Graduate of a Senior NCO course or Captain’s Career Course.
Skills
- Extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills.
- Expertise in emergent SOF capabilities, training, and force modernization.
- Ability to navigate Army Staff functions and unit training plans.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with Airspace Coordination and Electronic Warfare.
- Knowledge of processing applications for Certificates of Authorization (COA) or Airspace Access Approval (AAA) from the FAA.
- Knowledge of processing Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) for S-UAS and GPS NOTAMs.

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
