Counter Sales Associate - Plumbing & HVAC

About the role

DSG is seeking a Plumbing & HVAC Counter Sales Associate in our Kalispell, MT location. This full-time, hourly position works between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, though schedules may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment
• Aid in all aspects of warehouse duties as needed
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
• Provide trouble-shooting and technical support
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of Plumbing & HVAC products
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email)
• Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task
• A knack for active listening to determine customer needs
• Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
• A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred
