About the role
DSG is seeking an Electrical Counter Sales Associate in their Helena, MT location. This full-time, hourly position operates between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, though schedules may vary.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
- Aid customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
- Write and occasionally fill orders accurately and promptly
- Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
- Provide trouble-shooting and technical support
- Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
- Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
- Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
- Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school
- OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of electrical products
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email)
- Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task
- A knack for active listening to determine customer needs
- Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
- A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred
