About the role
DSG is seeking an Electrical Counter Sales Associate in our Williston, ND location. In this full-time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs.
As a Counter Sales Associate, you will assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment, as well as assisting in all aspects of warehouse duties as needed. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
- Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
- Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
- Provide trouble-shooting and technical support
- Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
- Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
- Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
- Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
- Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
A successful Electrical Counter Sales Associate typically has:
- Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of Electrical products
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email)
- Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task
- A knack for active listening to determine customer needs
- Superior problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills
- High proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred
- The ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
