Counter Sales Associate

About the role
Alameda Electrical Distributors & California Service Tool are looking for a full-time Counter Sales Associate to support our branch in Dublin, CA.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers (in person or over the phone) during the sales process; up sell complementary products
- Correctly enter the customer order in the computer system
- Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information (including product catalogs, price sheets, etc.), merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements; market all products sold and suggest replacement/alternative products when appropriate
- Maintain a working knowledge of the entire sales process from start to finish (including the order, billing, delivery and payment processes)
- Assist in maintaining the counter, merchandising and product display area assuring a safe, clean and orderly environment; assemble and stock product displays and shelves and prepare customer refreshments
- Assist in warehouse duties such as stocking, labeling shelves, restocking show room, inventory of goods, cycle counting, etc. in a manner which assures an orderly and safe work environment
- Assist with the shipping and receiving processes as needed including training on the UPS shipment process
- Occasionally operate a forklift to assist in warehouse duties
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the electrical industry and/or familiarity with electrical equipment and power tools is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse and delivery operations
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
- Ability to work a Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. schedule
- Overtime may be required as needed

Pay
Anticipated Pay Range: $24.25 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience
