Counter Representative

About the role

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking the right individual to fill a Counter Representative position. This role operates under a 40-hour per week 1st shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Processes orders via order management system
• Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling procedures
• Prepares and stages orders for customer pick-up
• Maintains store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
• Maintains a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ensures merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
• Affixes to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing products is a plus
• Warehouse experience a plus
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills

Pay

The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
