Counter Representative
About the role
Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking the right individual to fill a Counter Representative position. This role operates under a 40-hour per week 1st shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
- Processes orders via order management system
- Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling procedures
- Prepares and stages orders for customer pick-up
- Maintains store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
- Maintains a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Ensures merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
- Affixes to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing products is a plus
- Warehouse experience a plus
- General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
- General math skills to allow for cash accounting
- An ability to learn is a must have!
- Excellent decision making and communication skills

Pay
The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
