Counter/Inside Sales Associate - Plumbing & HVAC

About the role

DSG is seeking a Plumbing & HVAC Counter/Inside Sales Associate in our South Sioux City, NE location. This full-time, hourly position works between 7 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, though schedules may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in growing DSG's Mechanical segment sales in the South Sioux City area through responsibilities at both the City Desk and Inside Sales department.
• Serve as a primary facilitator for customer orders.
• Aid customers in a professional manner with product inquiries.
• Write and assist in filling orders accurately and promptly.
• Generate customer quotations and follow up on quotes as needed.
• Provide trouble-shooting and technical support to customers.
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues.
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location.
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area.
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of college or technical school in relevant fields, or three to five years of field experience in residential/commercial Plumbing & HVAC applications.
• Excellent relationship building, interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• A knack for active listening to understand customer needs.
• Superior problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• A high proficiency with computers, especially in systems like Eclipse or other ERP systems.
• The physical ability to frequently lift and load items weighing up to 70 pounds.
