Counselor (Hybrid - Remote/On-site)

About the role

Spero Health is seeking a licensed Counselor or Social Worker to join our teams in Owensboro, KY and Henderson, KY. This is a hybrid role with an expected schedule of 3 days/week on-site and 2 days/week remote. The position supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team providing counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment. Spero Health believes better outcomes are achieved by treating the whole person through integrated care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
• Provide patient education.
• Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
• Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.
• Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPAA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or another human service degree program related to working with individuals with substance use disorders).
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR a Master’s Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.
• Current license as CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, or LCADC.
