Counselor

Spero Health is seeking a licensed counselor or social worker to support the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment. Spero Health believes better outcomes are achieved when treating the whole person through integrated care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
• Provide patient education.
• Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
• Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.
• Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPAA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum Master’s Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or another human service degree program related to working with individuals with substance use disorders).
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master’s Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.
• Current license as CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, or LCADC.
