COUNSELOR ASSISTANT – HEDGEROW HOUSE

About the Role

RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunity for a positive, compassionate, and inclusive individual to join our team at our reintegration program, Hedgerow House, in Ballston Spa, NY. A successful candidate will be able to navigate the daily duties of the program while keeping their focus on offering high-quality support and advocacy to our residents, as they work to overcome the life challenges their chemical dependency diagnosis has presented.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with program residents to work toward their goals
• Assisting in the supervision of residents' daily living activities and house management to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
• Maintaining current and accurate documentation on resident progress
• Modeling positive and appropriate behaviors for residents

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals diagnosed with chemical dependency
• Working toward and/or a willingness to start work toward a CASAC-T or CASAC credential a plus
• An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal boundaries
• Our shared belief system in areas such as empathy, respect, understanding, and dedication
• Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
• Successful completion of RISE background checks, a valid driver's license and a driving history acceptable to the RISE automobile policy

Benefits

• Starting Counselor Assistant rate of $20 per hour
• $1,500 bonus after 6 months of employment
