Counsel-Real Estate

Main Responsibilities

• Building the future of food and well-being
• Providing legal counsel to management and real estate business staff
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate contracts, leases, and other real estate-related legal documents
• Conducting due diligence in connection with real estate acquisitions and dispositions
• Supporting the day-to-day management of owned and leased properties
• Collaborating with other internal teams, including finance, property management, and operations, to support business objectives
• Managing the paralegal functions that support the portfolio to which you are assigned
• Supervising outside counsel and overseeing outside counsel work to ensure delivery of high quality, cost-effective legal services
• Supporting inclusion and belonging initiatives

Requirements

• Law Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Bar Membership in California or Idaho
• At least five (5) years of sophisticated commercial real estate transaction experience, including representation of retail tenants and/or landlords and developers on a wide range of matters, including acquisition, development, leasing and management of commercial properties
• A broad and in-depth knowledge of real estate legal concepts, laws, and a variety of deal structures and documentation, preferably in a retail context
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, well-developed drafting and negotiation skills, excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail

Qualifications

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following:

• Law Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Bar Membership in California or Idaho
