Counsel, Product & Regulatory - Payments & AML

Responsibilities

• Advise on payments products and related regulatory complexities
• Partner across product, compliance, risk, and engineering teams
• Support the launch of new payment capabilities like Zelle
• Collaborate on financial crimes compliance initiatives
• Build scalable legal guidance to enhance decision-making
• Employ AI tools to drive efficiency in legal workflows
• Adapt to evolving regulations and product landscapes

Qualifications

• 4+ years of legal experience in relevant fields
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Experience with fintechs, payment companies, and AML-related matters
• Strong knowledge of payments regulatory frameworks and emerging areas like stablecoins
• Familiarity with BSA/AML and sanctions regulations
• Exceptional communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
• Strong judgment in ambiguous environments
• Proactive ownership and a willingness to learn

Pay

$167,800 – $209,700 annually
