Counsel II

Role Overview: Provide legal counsel and manage litigation defense for high-risk product liability cases across various vehicle and equipment lines, including advanced driver assistance systems. Key Responsibilities: Offer timely and cost-effective legal advice, develop and coordinate defense strategies, manage outside counsel and expert fees, and ensure compliance with relevant laws. Share legal knowledge internally and train staff on best practices. Participate in regional legal projects to support business objectives. Qualifications & Skills: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, admission to the California Bar, with 5-6+ years of experience in product liability, preferably in automotive. Strong knowledge of applicable laws, project management skills, and experience handling high-volume litigation are essential. Key Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex legal issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively within the team and with external partners.
