Counsel I
About the role
Cintas is seeking a Counsel I - Corporate to provide in-house legal services to the Company with particular emphasis on contract review and negotiation. The role will collaborate with Cintas leadership on negotiating terms and conditions of new or renewed customer and vendor contracts.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, structure and negotiate commercial transactions on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist with negotiating terms and conditions of new or renewed customer and vendor contracts.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal partners in negotiating terms and conditions and responding to bids, requests for proposal, etc.
- Train partners on contract terms and conditions as well as government compliance matters.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate Degree Admitted to a state bar
- 2 years’ full-time relevant legal experience
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Have an active driver's license
Qualifications
- Experience or willingness to learn proper compliance procedures and industry practices with respect to federal, state and local government contracts.
